Privacy and Cookies
This page explains what the tutorial site stores about you and how to change your choices.
What we store
Three kinds of data, all in service of the learning experience:
- Your sign-in. So we know who's submitting completions and can save your history.
- Your completion history. Which tutorials you've finished, when, and how you did on quizzes.
- Your chat history with Joule. Saved to your account if you're signed in; session-only otherwise.
Plus a small set of cookies and browser-local settings to remember your theme choice and the dismiss state for the cookie banner.
Cookie categories
SAP's consent banner offers three categories. The tutorial site currently uses only the first two:
- Required. Sign-in session and basic site function. Always on — without these, you can't sign in or stay signed in.
- Functional. Remembers preferences like your theme (light, dark, auto) and minor UI state.
- Advertising. This category appears in the banner because it's part of SAP's shared consent infrastructure across sap.com properties. The tutorial site does not currently set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
You'll see the banner the first time you visit. Your choice is remembered for future visits.
Revoking consent or clearing data
Open the cookie settings link in the page footer to change your category choices at any time.
To delete your account or request anonymization of your history, contact SAP support. Anonymization removes your sign-in and completion history; it can't be undone.
